Great trip to la Isla Saona. The ride on the Catalan was the most memorable experience. The tour guides were great and it was worth an all day excursion.

Nice trip but mass produced and consumed. Numerous bus transfers with some confusion. Service people (guides bartenders marineros dancers) were all attentive. Lunch was ok quality. Our buses brakes caught fire on the way back but the driver recovered quickly and impressed transportation for us back to our stop.

This was an amazing trip. Full day of fun. Benjamin is by far the best daddy out there!! He made sure we were taken care of all day long. Would have been nice to have a little more time on altos de chavron to explore. Natural pool and saona island some of the most beautiful things I have ever seen!! The crew on the boat keeps everyone feeling alive. Only complaint is time spent on bus and switching busses back and forth. But still very organized!! Would definitely do this trip again. Worth every penny!! Thank you Benjamin “big daddy” you were amazing!!!

Most beautiful place I've ever been to!

From Punta Cana: Saona Island & Altos de Chavon Day Trip with Lunch and Open Bar
Yesterday, we did this amazing trip and did not expect too much to be honest. In my experience, such trips are always extremely touristy, there are hundreds of people and the nature does not look anything as on the pictures. But this excursion seriously blew my mind! First, we went to Altos de Chavon, which was really nice and a nice change if you're doing a beach-only vacation like we are doing. We were a really small group and the city was basically empty - no tourists at all! The second highlight was the catamaran ride to Saona Island - we joined another group so we were with approx 30-40 people but that did not bother us at all. It was so much fun and we had the best Rum Colas ever! Everybody on the boat was dancing and had a great time! Then Saona Island... wow! We could chill there for about 2,5h, the lunch was great and the scenery.. you need to see that through your own eyes! There were other boats as well but it was certainly not too crowded and we enjoyed the 'real carribean' feeling. Then, we took a speedboat to a natural 'swimming pool' - which was crystal clear water in front of an island. I've seriously never seen anything like that! It was simply amazing and again, not crowded at all! The last stop was a gift shop on the way back, but nobody is forcing you to buy anything so if you're not into that you can also just stay in the bus! Our conclusion - DO IT! Worth every penny, our guide Benjamin was amazing and the places you visit will blow your mind! The whole trip took around 13h so we were really tired once we got back to the hotel but as i said.. 100% worth it!

Fun crew

We were a part of Willie's "family". What an outstanding, fun guy! The crew really went out of their way to make sure we were safe and having fun! We took the catamaran to Saona which was fun. The island was beautiful but after such a long long journey there, an hour was just too short. The lunch was ok.. after sitting for a little bit, we all (21 of us) boarded a very small speedboat for the trip to the natural pool. No starfish but it was beautiful. Then we got back on that super small speedboat for the 30 minute ride back to the village. We were hounded by people trying to sell cigars, etc, but by that time we are exhausted, hot and just ready to get back on the bus ready for air conditioning. 20 minutes down the road we pull over and he starts calling names for the Altos de Chavron visit. We board the much smaller bus and off we go...the village was beautiful. I wish we had done this visit earlier, before we were exhausted! We took lots of pictures and enjoyed the short time there. Overall it was a good trip. Pack lots of snacks and Gatorade and water! Dont forget the sunscreen and hats!
