How to Get There
The Malacca Crocodile Park sits among other tourist attractions in Ayer Keroh, a town in Melaka state, a little north of Melaka city. It’s about an 8-mile (13-kilometer) drive from the Stadthuys. Public transport is time-consuming, so it's easiest to self-drive, hire a driver, or join a tour. Most visitors come from Melaka, but some also travel from Kuala Lumpur.
When to Get There
The Malacca Crocodile Park is open from morning until early evening, seven days a week. To watch performances, which include snake shows, cultural displays, and crocodile feeding, visit on the weekend or over school vacations. While the park is quieter on weekdays, some attractions may not be open.
Reptiles at Malacca Crocodile Park
Besides the crocodiles that give the park its name, the Malacca Crocodile Park is home to a wealth of other reptiles. There is an enormous American alligator, caiman (a separate species, related to the alligator), and marsh mugger crocodiles from India—as well as an array of snakes and lizards in the Reptile House.
