The Basics

Chelsea Market is an ideal spot for a browse and a wander, with an eclectic range of food purveyors, sit-down restaurants, and shops to explore. While exploring, admire the market’s tasteful redevelopment, which incorporated aspects of the building’s industrial heritage, such as exposed piping and metalwork, into the design.

Visitors can explore Chelsea Market on walking tours of Lower Manhattan, which typically focus on neighborhoods such as Chelsea, the Meatpacking District, Greenwich Village, the West Village, and SoHo. The market also features as a stop-off on tours of New York’s High Line, an elevated park set on a old railway track; NYC food tours; and sightseeing coach tours, which cover attractions in Uptown, Midtown, and Lower Manhattan.

Excellent
The experience was great… and the tour guide was amazing. The only thing i would add is, there should be some form of drink during the tour. Water or soda at least.

Very interesting tour of Chelsea

Semi-Private Meatpacking District, Chelsea Market, and High Line Walking Tour
We actually wanted to book a tour for the highline which was not running on this day of the week. Alternatively, we decided for this tour which was a piece of luck! We especially liked Chelsea market and the detailed stories about the meatpacking district. Only thing to gripe about is the price for only two hrs. The day before, we did a small group tour with New York City Highlights at the same prize which took us 6 hrs. And it was at least as good as this one.

Chris was our guide and he was wonderful. Would never have even known about the high line if it wasn’t for this tour. Food at Chelsea market is superb.

Chelsea Market and High Line Food Tour
We had a wonderful time and tasted some delicious food. Harry our tour guide even made sure that I got a special piece of pizza due to a food allergy. He did a great job explaining the history and current facts about the places we save on the tour. Would definitely recommend using Harry as a tour guide.

Chelsea Market and High Line Food Tour
The HighLine food tour was one of our favorite activities we did with our family in NYC. Our guide Chris was awesome and the three hour stroll through Chelsea Market and HighLine park was the perfect thing to do on a beautiful weather day in New York. If you like adult beverages, go to The Hideaway Mexican restaurant and order the Clamato. Delicious.

Semi-Private Meatpacking District, Chelsea Market, and High Line Walking Tour
We had a great guide and ended up being the only 2 on the tour. We learned a lot about the areas we explored - what they used to be and what they are now. Highly recommend this tour group and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Semi-Private Meatpacking District, Chelsea Market, and High Line Walking Tour
Christine was very pleasant and personable. We had a small group so it was easy to hear and questions could be addressed. It was our first introduction to the Highline which we had heard of and the Chelsea Market was an interesting experience to visit. We also walked to see where and what the "Little Island" (park)was.
