Totally worth the money
Mark, our guide was AMAZING!!! He was even more enthusiastic than we were. We’ve come to the Met at least a dozen times but never heard the background stories like he taught us. It was amazing. We learned so much. And being able to go at your own pace with a guide who is knowledge is worth every penny. You’ll get SOOOO much more out of your visit. Definitely do this even if this os your first trip to the Met. You’ll thank me later.

Outstanding Personalized Tour for older kids

Skip the Line Kids and Families New York Metropolitan Museum Private Tour
Our guide, Jared, had such a vast knowledge of and several personal stories/behind the scenes anecdotes about the museum that were so interesting. He was prepared to entertain and inform older kids and adults alike who already knew a lot about the Met. Our family learned so many new things about one of our favorite places.

Metropolitan Museum of Art Private Guided Tour with Skip-the-Line Ticket
Our guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Johnathan was able to bring insight into the experience that we would have never had if we were to explore this on our own. A must see if you are going to be in NYC.

The museum is so overwhelming that you really need a guide to show you the highlights and give you a taste of all that is there. Our guide was excellent. We use Viator wherever we travel around the world with wonderful results.

I liked being shown parts of the Met I usually avoid. Great insights into the American Wing and Lehman Collection. Now I have reasons to go back and go deeper

Skip the Line: Metropolitan Museum of Art and 2 Self-guided tours
I have been to Metropolitan before, but it was a great experience to visit again with an interesting and structured tour. It was easy to navigate through the most important exhibits and I picked up a lot of useful information. Moreover, I was excited to use one of the bonus New York tours which came as a freebie. I would really recommend this tour for first time visitors to the Met, because it save you time and guides you through the most important exhibits.

When you go to the Met you need a lot of time because it has a lot to see. I wish I toured with a tour guide my experience would have been better. It’s a beautiful place and nicely arranged.

Met Express: Highlights of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2 Hours
Our tour guide Katie was fantastic. This was a scholarship group of 6 students and 4 adults and 2 other adults who joined us. I’ve been coming to the met for 40 years and never took a tour before. Touring such a museum could take a month! What our guide did was personalize the tour while highlighting key pieces and parts of the collection. But where she really excelled was sharing her thoughts and insights and personal passion with research and information and made the art and artists very approachable and human. It was fantastic and like visiting with an educated friend. I usually like to wander so this was a big deal for me to be so organized. She was exceptional and worth every minute and penny. I highly recommend this outstanding way to visit such an amazing collection.

Wished for more detail

Metropolitan Museum of Art and its Hidden Gems Self-Guided Audio Tour
It was nice to have some basic information and a path through the museum. I understand that this museum is enormous and all but impossible to get through in one day and this self guided tour does the best job possible trying to hit the main points, but I have to say I was hoping for a little more detail.
