Visiting Seoul for the First Time? Here's What to See and Do
Seoul captures the imagination—here's how to make the most of the South Korean capital.
Woongjin Playdoci, in Bucheon, is home to one of the largest driving ranges in South Korea as well as an indoor skiing center, a water park, a spa and fitness center, and a variety of kid-friendly facilities. The water park boasts a wave pool and multiple slides, while the ski center gives you the chance to ski, sled, and snowboard.
The Woongjin Playdoci is a large complex with enough activities to keep visitors busy for days. Choose a ski/snowboard and sledding combo ticket, or pair a visit to the water park and the spa at the Water Wonderland. The complex also has a bowling alley, a driving range, an aquarium and a small zoo, and an art centre that offers kid-friendly crafting workshops. Opt for the Ultimate Package to access to all of the park’s facilities.
A must-visit for families traveling with children and thrill seekers.
Woongjin Playdoci boasts more than 12 restaurants and coffee shops, one of which is dedicated entirely to grilled eel.
All the equipment for the snow-based activities—including boots, poles, and warm clothing—are included in the price of admission. Golf clothes and swimwear can be purchased on site.
The city of Bucheon is not far from Seoul. From Incheon Airport, take bus number 302 or 52 directly to the park entrance or ride the subway, line 1, to Bugae station and take bus numbers 579 or 79 to the complex from there.
The park is open Monday–Friday, but the various parks and attractions inside Woongjin Playdoci have varying hours of operation. Check the schedule for opening and closing times.
Bucheon offers several family-friendly attractions, in addition to the Woongjin Playdoci complex. Enjoy the fresh air at Sangdong Lake Park (which is particularly well known for its seasonal poppy field); see miniature replicas of world-famous landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower at Aiins World; or pose for pictures beside huge robots at Buchon Robo Park.
