The Basics

No trip to Japan’s capital would be complete without some time spent in Shibuya, and just about every city sightseeing tour stops here. For a deeper dive into the neighborhood’s sensical experience, take a nighttime walking food tour of the district to sample local favorites like takoyaki (octopus balls), okonomiyaki (savory pancake), and Kobe beef skewers. Alternatively, take a bit of Shibuya home with you by opting for a photo shoot at the famous crossing in a traditional kimono or samurai armor.

Fantastic Tour led by Asami
Our guide was Asami and she and the tour were fantastic! We found great places that we never would have found on our own and having someone who's bilingual to order for us and translate was a huge help in that we got to experience things we wouldn't have otherwise done. Asami has a binder full of data, information about the food we were trying, and some pages with key words and phrases in Japanese that we all learned while on the tour - I can't recommend her enough.

Shibuya Bar Hopping Night Food Walking Tour in Tokyo
Lots of fun!!! Yusuke-san with MagicalTrip, was very personable and easy to hang around with. He taught and showed me several authentic Izakaya bars. Don't limit yourself try all the Izakaya food to get the full experience! So sorry, I was so in the moment that I forgot to take pictures of the bars.

Walking Food Tour of Shibuya at Night
Had a great time touring the food scene in Shibuya with Norma. She was very knowledgable and friendly. Not only is this a food tour, but also a history and information tour of the area. We went to 5 different places and I was stuffed by the end. It's all paid for except for if you want a beer or something at the restaurants (except one, it was included)

Ebisu Local Food Tour: Shibuya's Most Popular Neighborhood
Mack was great taking us to various restaurants in Tokyo and on to a whiskey tour afterward. We had a great time. He also asked where we were staying and proceeded to tell us about a wonderful digital art museum we would have totally missed that was within walking distance. Loved it! Thanks again Mack.

Walking Food Tour of Shibuya at Night
My colleague and I took this tour as part of a whirlwind 2-day trip to Tokyo. It was a perfect fit as the tour guide was a fountain of knowledge related to Tokyo in addition to the trying out of various foods. I enjoyed all the foods we ate and would definitely suggest this tour for others. It's a good combination of learning the area and tasting foods!

What an incredible experience! Our tour was just the two of us with two guides. We loved getting to know our guides and having the opportunity to enjoy a lively conversation that covered a wide variety of topics. The food and company were both exceptional. This tour was an absolute highlight of our trip.

Walking Food Tour of Shibuya at Night
We had a wonderful tour guide called Michie! She was absolutely brilliant and showed us so many great things about Shibuya. This was more than a food tour, we learned about the area, Japanese culture, the history. Walking the streets of the area, you get so many tips about where to go and what to do. We were given an abundance of food too! All delicious! Highly recommend this tour!
