Hi Neal, Thank you for taking the time to express your disappoinment in the tour. I will address each of your points accordingly. First, we apologize that the tour made you feel as it was focused on shopping. Our guide is not supposed to bring you shopping unless you request it so that is absolutely unacceptable and we so are sorry that your experience was substandard. We will speak to her about this. Second, Cristina usually waits in the shade in front of La Merced and looks for her clients so we will have her bring a sign for easier identification! Sorry it was difficult to meet up with her. Cristina speaks English well however it is her second language and sometimes accented. We apologize that you felt it was difficult to understand her. Lastly, we do not take guests to Santo Domingo, nor do we advertise that we do. Santo Domingo is a privately owned hotel complex with interior museums and some may say its worth a visit, but the other highlights, such as the cathedrals, central park, and various outdoor points of interest are always covered. Thanks again for your feedback and if you are in town for any length of time, let us know and we would be happy to offer you a discount on another service.
