Great morning out especially for fans of LOTR and the Hobbit. My wife also enjoyed the trip even though she has never seen any of the movies. The set is superb and well worth a visit. Actual trip was more like a taxi service as they take you to the set, get your tickets and then drive you back home after your visit. The actual visit is via a set coach and set guide so you could self drive and do the same trip if you wish.

The tour was as expected and beyond! Amy, our tour guide, was lovely and great in show us around. The tour itself was great if you haven’t seen the country. Hobbiton was beautiful as expected and beyond. A dream coming into reality in my opinion. One there, I met another tour guide named Peter from Auckland and Beyond. He was great too. Overall, Auckland and Beyond has some of the best and friendliest tour guides in New Zealand. Beyond a five star crew for sure.

Pickup and drive to Hobbiton very good and driver gave a lot of history and good photo stop break. And very attentive to getting us on right tour,etc and meeting after. Drive back fine until we got to Auckland--then driver apparently had some issues locating where to drop off fellow passenger and drove right by our hotel near downtown Auckland and then over the Harbor Bridge(away from us) and back 3 times trying to find where to drop the other passenger off ,, and he had his GPS on the whole time...very confusing and time consuming. First time over the bridge was ok to see it even though out of the way.

A fabulous experience tour guide did her best to provide a full narrative for everyone but with a heavy rain on the tour (umbrellas provided) and everyone under the umbrella you couldn't hear what was being said. So much of the narrative was not heard. But the joyful experience of walking thru the Shire itself was well worth the tour.
