Returns to original departure point
Choose from several departure times for convenient pickup from your Cancun or Playa del Carmen hotel. In a comfortable tour vehicle, travel to Rancho Bonanza, where you're introduced to your horse. Riders are matched with horses based on experience level; riders of all levels can be accommodated. Horses at Rancho Bonanza have been rescued, rehabilitated, and retrained.

Spend the next portion of the tour exploring the jungle, observing and learning about the local flora and fauna as you travel. You also learn about the local practice of making bubblegum from materials found in the peninsula's forest. Once you reach a natural cenote, or limestone sinkhole, dismount for a swim in the cool water. Towels are provided for you, but please bring your swimsuit if you plan on swimming.

Enjoy drinks and snacks before returning to Rancho Bonanza. Then catch your ride back to Cancun or Playa del Carmen for drop-off.

The crew at Rancho Bonanza were great! It was great and welcoming experience and enjoyed every minute of riding the horses through the nice trail while learning about the Mayan culture. Also the cenote swim was the cherry on top. The crew: Esmerelda, Alma, Serge, and Papparazzi made the experience worth it, especially since our moments were captured by the team. Highly recommend going if you’re thinking of a fun activity to do with friends and family... 10 out of 10 a must have experience ❤️🥰

BUCKET LISTEN EXPERIENCE

Serge and his staff were absolutely incredible. It was truly the experience of a lifetime. The farm was so beautiful it felt like we were in a movie. The animals are well kept, feed, and groomed. The water of the cenote is a color blue I have never seen. Not only was this experience fun but the historical attributes incorporated were the highlight of our trip to Cancún. I seriously recommend it. This experience will make you feel at one with yourself and the world.

The guide was very knowledgeable with the landmarks and historical factors of the ranch and farm. The two ladies were nice Alma and the other one. The ranch hands were great. Sergio was a little rude to me personally, but the ladies made up for it with their positive attitudes.

Of course the horseback riding was the most memorable part. We were transported to and welcome at the Bonanza entrance. We then proceeded as a group to receive instructions, background info, and to learn how to ride the horses. After some training, we explored the jungle full of beautiful trees, iguanas, and other interesting things. After exploring, we received a story regarding the trees of Cancún and even got a surprise after the story. Then, we had the option of swimming in a private cenote before yet another surprise! Don’t forget to bring money to kindly tip the team and to buy pics from the “paparazzi.” Highly recommend the adventure.
