Galway to Cong Full Day Tour

Your is actually not in service. Disappointed it is advertised as being so. Waiting for a refund. Should not be advertising.

Can’t really write a review. We showed up at designated departure point a half hour early. The tour operator was a no show! Did not receive any notice from High King Tours the operator of this particular tour!

The bus never showed up. We received no response to online contact and the number we tried to call was not a working number. The trip was a b7st. We are awaiting confirmation of refund.

Our day trip to visit Cong was wonderful. Doron picked us up at our hotel so we wouldn't have to try to find our meeting location. That's awesome. Doron was very informative and we learned so much about Ireland and Cong history from him. We were very impressed that most Irish are very very proud of being Irish like Doron and more than willing to learn about the family history from his ancestors. We were happy to have visited the Ashford Castle. We really wished we could have gone inside for a hot chocolate or coffee or lunch or something. Maybe Doron can do some magic and organize that for his future guests after the boat ride. That would be a wonderful treat!! :-)....We still had a wonderful time walking the grounds of Ashford Castle and had nice cruise on the lake. We enjoyed our lunch in town at a pub. We were there during the off season so not much was opened and we understood that. Cong was soooo quaint. We wish we had more time to explore and go hiking in the area where the Pigeon Hole was. It was very beautiful and peaceful. Thank you Doron for showing us around. We would totally recommend Doron and High King for your trip. We hope to revisit Ireland in the future....Steve & CeeCee

Wonderful day, despite the rain! We have taken many tours over the years, but nothing tops this one! Doran s family roots are from this area and he is a fountain of information! It was only myself and my husband but the tour carried on. If you are in this area, this trip is a MUST! You will not be disappointed!

Truly an amazing day with a local from Ireland. I read many reviews and it was the reason for why I booked this tour was that it was a small group tour and it was done by a local Irish man. That is absolutely the case. Not only was I the only person that booked that day and the tour still operated so it was a private tour for me, but Doron spoke about his hometown area and people with such passion that I feel this made the tour special for me when he spoke about the History of this area but then added in personal stories along the way. I definitely recommend this tour!

This was the best tour so far in Ireland. Our guide Doron was exceptional and since he grew up in Cong he was well informed and shared personal experiences and traditions. Made this a fantastic tour and a must do if in Galway!!! You will not be disappointed.

I would highly recommend this charming owner operated tour. The guide is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the area. The village of Cong is where the quiet man with John Wayne was filmed so you should definitely watch that movie before you go. Lots of history and lots of beautiful countryside to be seen.

We just returned from a 10-day trip through Ireland. We traveled with a travel agency on a bus and a large group of people, we also booked couple private tours. The Cong tour was really the best of ALL! Small group of 15 people and a driver-guide. We saw and learned so-so much! Multiple historical points and beautiful nature sceneries. Doron was an amazing guide - he is proud to be local, he knows local history better than anybody else I heard, and at the same time, he presents it with humor, folk stories and myths, and makes it lively and not boring. I would certainly recommend this tour to everybody.

We had a great day weather-wise and tour-wise. Do Ron our guide was excellent.The grounds of Ashford Castle we beautiful. Cruise was very informative. We had 8 (of all ages) and had a great day.
