Well done

This was excellent. It made the drive easy to follow and enjoyable. I would recommend. It would help if the start address was more variable. If was not intuitive where to begin the tour.

Liked the tour. Good for families with young kids.

The tour gave lots of good information so that I could tell what I was looking at as we drove through the battlefield. It especially worked great with my young kids that didn't care about what they were seeing and wouldn't have handled a more conventional tour on a bus.

Fun, and surprisingly thorough tour that you do at your own pace. Leaving this review that requires a minimum 100 characters was the only crappy part.

Haha, good to know! We will let TripAdvisor know to re-evaluate their character count. So thrilled you enjoyed the tour though!! Gettysburg is an amazing place to visit. If it’s not too hot out, check out our mini-walking tours of two popular spots on the battlefield - Devil’s Den and Seminary Ridge. Our Ghost tour is also a popular evening choice and if you have an entry day, check out Antietam! More details on ActionTourGuide.com.

Does not compare to the bus tour, but for the money and how beautiful it was my family and I really enjoyed it.

That’s great! Thanks so much for the review! What can we do to be a five-star and be better than any other tour option? We’re always improving and adding so we’d love suggestions!

I recommend this tour far more than wandering aimlessly like I did a few years ago. Very informative as it went chronologically through each day and the different stages of the battles. It also took me to ares I haven't seen before.

Thrilled that you enjoyed the tour! It definitely beats just reading the signage — especially when pretty much every spot seems to have a fascinating story behind it! If you’re still in town, you might enjoy our other self-guided tours — we have one for Ghosts of the Battlefield, Antietam, Devil’s Den, and Seminary Ridge. Could have been better

It was ok but the app had us all over the place and the starting point was like 16 so i feel it was backwards and it kept screwing up and restarting from the beginning

Thanks for your feedback. Our tour starts at the Gettysburg Heritage Center and then follows the Auto Tour route around the battlefield. This keeps the timeline in order and allows the story to flow properly. We’d be more than happy to share a gift card or refund since you didn’t have a stellar experience. We always want everyone to leave happy. Please email us via the website to begin the process.

Easy to follow directions. Organized way to check out the sights. Had an issue logging onto program. Called for assistance and operator was able to correct issue quickly and off to begin our tour in no time. Loved the convenience and safety of remaining in our car to do the tour.

Quite frustrating

The narrator and story were very good so long as it stayed in sync with map. We missed a couple of sites bc driving directions we’re poor and confusing. Near the end the narrator and map insisted we turn in the wrong way into a one way street so we lost a few sights trying to get back on track. Just listened to the rest of the stories manually as we left Gettysburg. Also, ridiculous to pay for 2 people in the same car.

We already clarify that only one tour is needed per car (not per person) in the description and in the Q&As. We’re happy to refund the extra booking anyway - just email us your receipts. There is a turn onto a small street near the end of the tour (Colgrove Ave) which is sometimes overlooked. It sounds like that’s what led to the issues here. The map feature in the app is a great resource to track real-time location (blue dot) along the recommended route (red line).

We liked it all...little round top, devils den, battlefield Sally. Took a second to sorta figure out the app at first. Might want to be more detailed in the written instructions in regards to the starting location. Be more specific that you would like cars to start in the parking lot facing Johnson’s street and then hit PLAY on the app :-) Otherwise you might be like us doing a lap or two around the museum. But once you are up and running it’s a very easy app to follow. The street Audio Tour signs are helpful too!
