Your afternoon pub tour begins at St. Paul's, where you will meet your guide and set off for the first stop of your tour. As you walk, check out city attractions like St. Paul's Cathedral and the bustling Fleet Street. Pass the site of a Shakespearean playhouse, then pop into the art nouveau Blackfriars for a drink. Grab a pint (own expense) and enjoy colorful stories from this neighborhood's banking community.

Next, head down Fleet Street, flush with pubs and gin palaces to service the journalists and literary greats of the day. Stop at a proper London boozer for a civilized drinking experience. Buy yourself a delicious local ale (or two), admire the authentic medieval decor, and enjoy the buzz as regulars and newcomers fill up the wooden tables surrounding the horseshoe bar.

Continue along Fleet Street, the former stomping grounds of Charles Dickens, who once resided in Furnival’s Inn (now Holborn Bars). Visit a 17th-century pub that was a favorite of Dickens and fellow writers Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Alfred Lord Tennyson. Sip on a delicious beer and cider (not included) and soak up the literary history of the place.

Your tour ends at the edge of Covent Garden with plenty of time (and insider information) to continue the fun at another local pub.

Lyndon was a wonderful tour guide! He was interesting and engaging as he talked about the history of locations along our route and the pubs we visited. We were able to experience a variety of pubs we never would have found on our own and loved the tour. I would definitely recommend this experience to visitors and locals, too.

What a fun day of pub hopping! Our guide Will took us to some very cool, off the beaten path bars. I felt like a true Londoner going to the pub! Will shared some great stories about "liquid London." He told us interesting facts about pub life and the history of London as well. We went to places I would never have been able to find on my own. Will also made great recommendations about beers and spirits to try in each establishment. Will was so kind and accommodating. I would highly recommend this tour! Enjoy!

The tour highlighted pubs with interesting stories. Along the way Wil shared other historic sights which often had links to the nearby pubs. Having a drink at each of the 4 pubs visited was a bonus. The tour was relaxed and the guide took the opportunity to chat with all of the participants at the pubs. Highly recommended.

This was great fun walking tour of several historical pubs. Kevin, our guide was a wealth of knowledge about each pub and their unique attributes. Additionally he shared the history of several sites as we walked between pubs. His sense of humor was great. Good balance of walking and “ having a pint”.

My friends and I are still raving about how great of a tour this was, honestly, if we had more time in London - we would have done it again! Freddie was our tour guide and he was the best!!! He was EXTREMELY knowledgeable about all of the different pubs we toured and London as a whole. To say that Freddie was outstanding, would be an understatement. If you get Freddie - make sure to ask him for recommendations for after, you will not be disappointed!

We had such a great time...

We had such a great time on our tour with Mark! He was really knowledgeable and quite humorous. We learned so much about the history of London and the role that pubs and gin palaces played in that history. Mark also did a great job of helping us plan our drinking choices by letting us know ahead of time which pubs specialized in different types of drinks (gins, cask ales, draughts, etc) and what they had available. Overall, the tour was very enjoyable and we got to see and learn about places we probably would have never gone to or known about had it not been for this tour.

Thanks for the great review and enjoying the hidden gems along the way. Cheers!
