Select a morning or evening tour when you book. Then, depart central London by comfortable, air-conditioned coach and begin your tour to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Stonehenge.

Visitors who arrive at the site during main daylight hours are only allowed to stroll the perimeter pathway around the monument, a route roped off from the stone circle. However, this ‘private viewing’ tour lets your group enter the roped-off circle of stones to see the monolithic blocks at truly close quarters.

Hear the fascinating facts and mysteries that surround the monument from your expert guide, and by enjoying the rarified atmosphere of the inner circle, experience the site at its magical best! With luck, and depending on the season, you may even visit during a sunrise or sunset, making the occasion extra special. See below for the morning or evening itinerary. Both tours conclude with a drop-off in central London.

Morning Tour: After seeing Stonehenge, continue to nearby Lacock: a quaint village dating to the 13th century. Stretch your legs on a guided walk around the pretty lanes, and see some of the locations used in the movie 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone,' and a TV adaptation of 18th-century writer Jane Austen’s 'Pride and Prejudice.' Afterward, savor a hearty breakfast (own expense) at The George Inn, Lacock’s 14th-century pub, before venturing to the beautiful, UNESCO-listed city of Bath, famous for its Roman spa and Georgian architecture. Tour the well-preserved Roman Baths, built over natural hot springs; see Bath Abbey, and learn about Jane Austen’s connections to the city. If you wish, follow your guide to see where 19th-century author, Charles Dickens, once lived, and call at a dairy to taste some local cheese. Alternatively, use some free time to perhaps shop for gifts or view Bath’s highlights on your own.

Evening Tour: Leave London for Bath and visit the stunning Roman Baths and Bath Abbey, as set out in the morning itinerary. Then, drive on to postcard-worthy Lacock to amble around its historical streets. Later, sit down to dinner (own expense) at The George Inn, before journeying to Stonehenge for your ‘private viewing,’ after the daytime visitors have left.

Great experience

Alex and Washami did a great job keeping up on time and have enough time for every attraction. We saw the Stonehenge from the inside which is very exclusive. Alex was very knowledgeable about everything. Then we headed to the little village that was built in 14th century where Downton Abbey and Harry Potter filmed there at one point. We ended the tour in the bath house built by Roman. It was a very informative tour. We got back about 4:30PM. We had a great time.

The Inner Access Tour of Stonehenge including bath and Lacock day tour was incredible. Our guide Andrew and our driver Noodles was very informative and engaging throughout the whole day. I loved having the inner access of Stonehenge with no other tourists other than our group. It was a very special moment. The Stonehenge guide Wendy was also very informative and engaging, offering facts of the history I didn't know. From Stonehenge it was off to Breakfast at George Inn at Lacock a very old 14th century Inn for a very yummy traditional English breakfast and from there we went to Bath to see the Roman Baths where we got skip the line tickets and looked around at our own leisure. The Roman Baths were incredible and Bath itself was such a beautiful place. It was an amazing experience and I highly recommend this tour as a unique way to visit Stonehenge, Bath and lacock! Thanks Andrew!

The inner circle access...

The inner circle access to Stonehenge was an incredible experience in my opinion. By the time we got to Bath, it was pretty crowded (noon in August), but still worth seeing. Peter was a great guide. Our group would definitely recommend this trip.

Inner Circle Stonehenge Access

My wife and I really enjoyed ourselves. Our first destination was the inner circle of stonehenge. Although we were not able to physically touch the stones, we were able to access into inner circle for pictures and experience it. We had the feeling of having the place to ourselves even though there were around 45 people in our group. We were blessed with the sun which made our experience even better. The gift shop was stocked with nice, quality Stonehenge merchandise. Larock village was like traveling back in time to old English. We had a full English breakfast. It was delicious and filling. It consisted of eggs, ham, sausage, beans and toast with butter. There were other breakfast options of vegetarian and Salman breakfast. Bath is a larger town and it was pleasant. The Roman bath museum was crowded and the antiquated audio device the museum handed out was difficult to understand how it worked. We found it disappointing but others in our group liked it. The Bath town square was active with talented street performers which made for a festive atmosphere. This tour is over 10 hours and all three destinations are definitely worth visiting. However, what made this tour worth the time was its tour guide, Peter. He was able to masterfully keep us engaged and entertained with his impressive knowledge of our destinations as well as just general knowledge. He is very witty and quick with a joke. His story-telling had seemed to shorten the long bus ride. The bus itself was comfortable and the ride was amazingly smooth. It was obviously that the bus driver was an incredibly experienced one. If you're thinking about taking this tour (Inner stonehenge, Larock, Bath), just do it. It's worth the extra money. My wife and I will forever remember this one!!

Stonehenge viewed from the inside of the circle is awe inspiring. The knowledgeable site guide they provide brings obscure details to life. This tour did not disappoint, I could not image spending years to come see this site and not being able to view the stones up close. Memorable!

The wary wake-up was 1000% worth it! You arrive prior to opening. We had the most amazing archeologist for a tour guide, and then the day just got better. Frank was an excellent captain of the bus. Laclock was beautiful, and Bath was incredible. You’ll be so happy you booked this. I’d suggest though booking straight through the company

This was an incredible day. There is truly no other way to experience Stonehenge. Just book the trip. Carol was an amazing guide for the day. Lacock was great, wish we had just an hour more. Bath was also fantastic. Of course you can never see everything when you do these kinds of tours, but this was just the perfect way to experience these highlights of Great Britain and Wonders of the World.

We had an early tour and the inner circle of the stones were incredible!! For no other reason than this I would recommend this tour. Bath was great however, and the walk around Lacock and breakfast made this trip incredibly memorable and perfect! Frank and Mohammad took great care of us and we really enjoyed learning as much as we did.

Wonderful inner circle experience but skip the pub meal
Karin_M
, Jul 2022
Our tour guide Peter was amazing! He is very knowledgeable and made our large family group feel welcome. The inner circle access was a truly incredible experience. The on-site guide was also very helpful. The weak point was the Lacock pub meal…the meals were served quite late to our table so we only had a few minutes to eat, and the food was pretty awful. For the $25 pounds it was a poor value. Had we known, we would have skipped the meal entirely in favor of wandering around the lovely village of Lacock. That said we would highly recommend the tour with a recommendation to just skip the meal and grab a bite to eat from one of the many great eating places in Bath.

Really terrific tour with a wonderful tour guide. Beware of the fact that the full Roman Baths tour will take up your whole time in Bath if you listen to the whole audio tour. Also, the bus was certainly warmer but mid-afternoon than the air seemed capable of keeping up with, but otherwise a great day.

Sunset Inner Circle Experience

So spiritual to encounter stones as sun was low in sky casting long shadows over the area. Our guide, Carole was very competent in guiding 40+ people through Lacock, Bath and Stonehenge. Highly recommend the inner circle experience.

The trip was really well organised and proceeded faultlessly. Our guide Andrew/ Clive was not only a fountain of information but also entertaining and very personable. The early visit to Stonehenge was magical Lacock is gorgeous but deserved more time as did Bath. We saw heaps heard more and had a great day in spite of 5.30 start

The day turned up with perfect weather to see Stonehenge. The trip to Bath and to eat at the Lacock pub were a bonus but being in the inner circle at Stonehenge was the most amazing part. Peter our tour guide kept everyone engaged in the bus with his quirky humor.
