Best View of Los Angeles

This is an awesome tour! It is 4.5 miles round trip but so worth it. Our tour guide, Elco had a great personality and provided lots of information along the hike. The views were amazing. We chose the evening tour and had a perfect sunset view.

Breathtaking view of the sign and the City

I got to see a side of LA that I'm sure not many visitors get to see. The hiking excursion was wonderful as there are many stops to take and snap photos. Hearing about the history of the sign and what went into creating it, maintaining it, the eventual sale to the city, and donations made by famous people for the renovation were very interesting to hear. Walking to the top of the ridge and overlooking downtown LA as well as the San Fernando valley and seeing the sign within a stone's throw from the back was truly breathtaking. This hike is one that I would highly suggest and recommend!

J.B. was a terrific guide who kept us intrigued, engaged and laughing! His knowledge of the area was impressive; and his sharing of his L.A. experiences really made each step up and down the hill that much more fun and exciting. Despite Viator instructing us as consumers to come prepared for this somewhat arduous journey, J.B. still offered everyone water and snacks at the start, which was unexpected and very generous. He made sure we all stuck together (giving us extra breaks as needed), took AWESOME photos of my family and I at certain stops and kept watch over our safety. The walk itself got harder as we neared the top due to its steepness; however, the views we got to see as a result—especially at the top—were so worth it! (If you're not a fan of the heat though, I highly recommend the 5:30PM tour, which is what we did, as coming back down the hill was cool and refreshing!) Thank you, J.B., for giving my family and I a wonderful and unforgettable experience!

JB, our awesome guide, was knowledgeable and fun. It is a manageable walk up hill about 2 miles and he gave us a lot of breaks. It’s tricky find the trail and we would’ve never known how to without this tour so was totally worth the money. We did the 5:30 so had nice sunset lighting. JB took family photos of everyone, waited until all of us got back down to our cars and answered all of our questions. We have kids 14, 16 and 17 years that loved it, too. We would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hollywood. Thanks!
