Wonderful Evening
, Jun 2021
The sunset was awesome. The staff was great and the food was really good! We knew the views would be great but so was everything else.
Fun experience but wouldn't do it again

The views were amazing. Loved the live music. My salad didn't have dressing but the prime rib was delicious. We booked as a couple but ended up sitting at a table for 4 with another couple. Luckily, they were nice and we got along but I wish I would have known that going in and I'm sure not everyone was as lucky as we were.
Wonderful experience

My husband and I enjoyed our experience upon the Maui Princess. The food was good, the staff were friendly, and the views (of course) were amazing! Shared a table with another very nice couple and had a blast! Would definitely recommend this sunset cruise!
Good experience definitely repeatable.

Very friendly staff from musician to bartender. Food was good, staff accommodating. No dance floor although one was expected. Karaoke was great. Envelopes at the end for tips caught people by surprise not just our party, some people didn’t have cash…. Suggest adding tip to the tix price. Mixed drinks were ok, just … ok.
Would highly recommend!

Beautiful evening with calm seas. Beautiful sunset. However, the ship was Crowded, had slow service and very weak drinks.

This one is a hard pass
, May 2021
We were looking forward to this as we've been to Maui many times but this was our first sunset dinner cruise. For a large group dining experience, we thought the food was actually pretty good. We tried the prime rib and Mahi Mahi, with cheesecake for desert. The wait staff did very well and were quite friendly. We enjoyed our table on the deck, with great viewing on the Maui coastline & of course a beautiful sunset. But despite this the experience was a hard pass for us. The vessel was a bit run down, especially the lower deck. Excursion included a free mai tai and 2 additional drinks of your choice, all of which were so watered down you couldn't taste any alcohol. The "biggest dance floor in Maui" was non-existent. The captain (when you could even hear him over the mic) had no personality. And the entertainment was not good. It was basically a one woman "band": a gal played the electric piano & ukulele karaoke style to a soundtrack. Her voice was fine, but her song selection was not suited to her & she never stopped! For those SNL fans out there it reminded us of the Will Farrell & Cheri Oteri music teacher skits. Imagine a 50 something lady on an electric piano singing Uptown Funk. And then the captain comes out asking us to applaud so we don't hurt her feelings??? We felt bad for her because she was really trying, and she wasn't awful, but goodness! A DJ would have been better, & then at least turning it down during dinner so we could have a conversation without shouting. And then delivering the "check" (excursion already paid for) & instructing us to tip based on the entire amount of the excursion (not value of the dinner). Yeah, this one is a hard pass.

Nice time

Nice cruise. There was live entertainment and the singer was very good. I would rate it higher; but you had it sit with others. Especially during a pandemic; I would think they would have you sitting alone. I was a bit disappointed that it was not a more romantic setting. Very crowded around other tables. Otherwise it was very enjoyable.

Food was good but drinks were watered down. You might be seated with another couple, private table aren’t guaranteed. If you do share a table it’s super tight squeeze. Wouldn’t do again
Very rude staff

We got stuck in traffic and we’re 5 minutes late. When we got there they were just pulling in the ropes. They said you need to be early and would not let us board the boat. Another couple was there at the same time and were denied boarding. The guy that was on shore pulling in the ropes was really rude and didn’t care. Needless to say it was $245 down the drain. The guy was so rude I can only imagine his rudeness carried into the cruise. I would not recommend this at all. Totally unworkable and we couldn’t help the traffic
