Just OK

I’ve been on other food tours in New Orleans and elsewhere and this one was really nothing to write home about. The food offerings were indicative of NOLA but service was slow, lots of wasted time just sitting waiting for our food. Not as much history or entertaining anecdotes on this tour as we normally have.

Dear Jillian_B, We appreciate your input and rest assured we take it seriously. We strive to deliver the best value possible for our price point and tour location (The French Quarter ),and according to over 1000, 5 star reviews we generally please and then some. The FQtr is known for festivals, celebrations, events in our city and now, happily, an awesome vacation spot again for many.... so sometimes longer than normal wait times during this new and welcomed busy time. Glad you thought the food was indicative on NOLA. Thank you again for taking the time to review. Madge / DK

Lack Luster

Jack was great, and very informative. However, what should have been a 12 minute walk to the first food stop took more than 35 minutes due to all the factual stops. Jack was courteous to make sure we were in the shade, but the location to meet should have been at the first food stop. No need to stand out in the heat. Then the party was so large that not everyone could hear Jack when he spoke. And honestly, the choices in locations to eat were not fantastic. The only item that I thought stuck out was the chargrilled oysters, and I found better at another restaurant later in my vacation. The flavor profiles were very bland to be located in New Orleans. Even the Cajun jambalaya was lack luster. I was looking for spice and authentic Creole/Cajun foods, but I felt like the tour did not accomplish that at all.

Dear Dana , We appreciate your input and rest assured we take it seriously. We strive to deliver the best value possible for our price point and tour location (The French Quarter ). According to over 1000, 5 star reviews more often than not we hit our mark.   We feel it’s important to inform our clients of the nuanced history of food traditions and tastings that we locals appreciate.  We offer tours of various sizes and budgets including small group tours in The French Quarter and Uptown. In future we encourage you to consider our small group tour.  Thank you again for taking the time to review.Madge/ DK

All of the food was amazing and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. The tour had food history and showed us some of the best stops. I recommend doing it on the first or second day in New Orleans to get a lay of the land. Great over all experiences.
