Great tour and great guides.
, Jun 2021
Great experience, especially for first time visitors. Definitely a must to do in Hawaii even for residents. The information and exposure to the culture was heartwarming. We will definitely go home with a new appreciation and respect for Hawaii and its culture and people. Thank you again for sharing such a wonderful day with us. Kainoa was a great guide and also shared his own personal experiences of his life both at home on Oahu and when he lived in New York.
Fantastic tour, but a bit more planning needed
, Jun 2021
The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and filled the entirety of the bus rides with facts, stories and commentary. The ride was comfortable and we were able to visit a lot of places. The only problem we had was with the Dole plantation. The tour guide was clearly banking the entire day on maximizing our time at each destination, rolling in to the plantation at 4:25 (they close at 4:30) and being able to slide into the plantation shop. Of course, unexpected traffic makes a fool of such precision planning, and we were unable to enter the plantation. We made a stop in downtown Honolulu instead to make up for it. If Dole is one of your must-sees, consider other trips. But if you want to learn a lot about Hawaii's history and culture through the eyes of a local and see some spectacular sights, then this tour is perfect!
The best tour of Oahu
, Jun 2021
The Ultimate Circle Island Adventure was great and very pleasant experience. We were able to see the best of Oahu. Our tour guide - Kainoa - did an outstanding job presenting the island of Oahu through the "eyes of a person who knows and loves the island". Each stop was a discovery of something special about the island of Oahu. We were able to learn a lot about the history of Hawaii, people of Hawaii and their everyday life. I fell in love with the island of Oahu and people of Hawaii. It is very difficult to imagine any better tour than this one. Again, our special thanks to Kainoa and his team for their remarkable job.
Oahu nature tour

Our guide was amazing(Kainoa).Very knowledgeable .The only thing is we’re not able to go inside the Dole plantation because we are1 min late.I don’t blame him but because of the other people in the bus who are not on time to return on the set time.I think they should be given only 5 min as a wait time and then the group need to leave.that’s what the tour in Europe does.So other people who’s on time won’t suffer
Not quite the experience that was advertised
, Jun 2021
A beautiful way to learn about Hawaii’s history and culture while taking in breath taking views. So much to see with many stops for photographs. I will say we booked this trip based on the written advertisement of 2 hrs and swimming in Waimea Falls. Our time to explore there was only 45 mins and we were told we were not there to swim. We had to literally run to see the falls and make it back by departure. Not stopping to take in the beauty that surrounded us. I would have rented a car and opted for a day trip had I known.

Aloha, Please know; we never advertise that our guests should swim in the waterfall. On the contrary, we tell our guests they should not swim in the falls due to potential presence of Leptospirosis bacteria in the water. It is much safer to swim in the ocean than to swim in any waterfall in Hawaii. Our guides and guests spend 1.5-2 hours at Waimea Valley.

Great day
, Jun 2021
We loved to most of the tour. Our guide was very very informative with the rich history and knowledge of the plant life of Oahu. We all took away something from that. What I like was the vista of Pui lookout. The boys loved lunch at Fumi’s. The shrimps were very big. And you got a lot of food for the stop. We were supposed to go to Dole Plantation. But because of the COVID reopening in Hawaii, Dole took that day to clean the facility. So the alternate spot was a little town near there. The ice cream was awesome. The family loved the little town. If you are from California and have been to the central coast near Camria, the feel of the town is just like that. Cozy. In the time of our tour, the let down was the Waimea falls. The hike to it was a great experience and exercise. However, when we got to the falls it was a lackluster moment. Perhaps there was not a lot of rain water in the previous days. All and all it was a great day.

Aloha Finn, Thanks for your very good review. Yes, rainfall in Hawaii is temporal especially in the summer and somedays the waterfall is not as powerful as others. We hope Dole might re-open on Wednesdays soon.

Informative and Gorgeous Trip
, Jun 2021
Our tour guide and driver were both so knowledgeable and experienced- it was a treat to listen to Kunao ( don’t know if I got the spelling right?) ! Lovely trip but had no idea that there was the option of bathing in the beautiful lagoon at the bottom of Waimea Falls! But I would recommend this trip to everyone visiting Oahu!
icon Response from Host , Jun 2021
Aloha Indrani, Thanks for this 5 star review. Kainoa is truly a legendary guide! We caution our guests not to swim in the waterfall due to a bacteria called Leptospirosis in the water. It is better to swim in the ocean.
