Bus experience in Hawaii
Stephanie_H
, Mar 2020
Even though I rated this company the a 2 star the drivers were all great. There being 7 lines we purchased a 4 day pass to cover much of what we wnted to see in Hawaii. After waiting for 3/4 of an hour with other customers to go to Pearl Harbour today we found out from one of the drivers that the timetable had not only been shortened but was not stopping at the previously advertised bus stop. There was no communication. We were advised to go to the depot. There we were given the same information. When asked for a copy of the revised timetable we were told they did not have any but to photograph the office copy. No communication with their customers. No communication at the stops where the bus was to go. Very poor customer service.

Traffic is bad there and having to tour the entire island just to get from Pearl Harbor to down town took 2 hours on the trolly. Takes about 20 minutes to drive yourself.

Trolly was OK but not very interesting ride overall. I could have taken a regular bus and seen just as much . I have had more interesting hop on off experiences .Somewhat of a hassle to get started

Tours are fairly short and not very informative, some of them only run a few times a day , is if you want to just go back-and-forth to shops shopping Centre it’s good for that but overall just OK Very few spots you would want to get off and back on from

Driver was particularly helpful.

Our driver went the extra mile in making sure that everyone was comfortable. He waited for the "runners", made an extra stop for cruise passengers to be closer to their ship, cleared the aisles for handicapped and made sure families sat together. However, the bus seats on the lower level were very uncomfortable, but Honolulu was beautiful, even with a little rain -- fun!

It's very bad experience. I booked the tickets via the web site and the tickets were useless

In the overview, it says "Discover Honolulu, Pear Harbor ….Choose from multiple routes, marveling at Diamond Head on the Green Line or the beautiful Hanauma Bay on the Blue Line.." my plan was to ride the Trolley from Pear Harbor to Hanauma Bay. I chatted with an agent to make sure the blue is the right one, but it looked like to me the agent just copy the same information from web site, not much helpful.so I took it as yes and bought 2 tickets for 1 day blue and pink line. But when I went to the station to get the tickets, I was told that the purple line is the line with stop at Pear Harbor (btw, the web site doesn't have the purple line mentioned at all), and the blue line doesn't have stop at Pearl Harbor, and the station service lady would not issue me purple ticket because I didn't buy the tickets directly from Trolley depot. I called viator service, and the agent I talked to asked me to negotiate with Trolley depot service person, because it's over 24 hours, and viator can't cancel the ticket nor change anything. At the end, it waste me over half hour, and I lost my $53
