We have been taking walking food tours around the world and this one certainly was another good one. Our guide met us on time, was very friendly and knowledgable. Our only complaint was our fault. We ate several hours before the tour so we could not eat everything placed in front of us. In fact, not even close! We went to I think five places, all of which we probably would not have found on our own. We tasted their famous hot dog, rye bread and ice cream, local beer, meat soup, arctic char, stinky shark, and many other items . I would recommend having a little more lamb and seafood on the tour but, again, everything we tried was a good choice. As always, guides like ours are a great source of information concerning the local culture, places to visit and eat and directions to already booked sights. I recommend this walking food tour, just remember, come hungry!

Our food tour was awesome and exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Snædis was delightful and eager to share her culture and food along with some Icelandic folklore. The tour exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend it, Hopefully if you are lucky enough to get Snædis you are in for a treat!

Reykjavik Food Lovers Tour

my wife and I really enjoyed our Reykjavik food lovers tour with our great guide Bardi who we found very friendly, knowledgeable and informative. The food was very nice and although there were six different restaurants used they were all fairly close together so there is not too much walking involved.

We did the food tour with Bardi and loved it! A brilliant introduction not only to everyday Iceland food - hotdogs, lamb, lobster and fish - but access to the unusual - puffin, shark and whale - that we could not have found on our own. Bardi was a wonderful host and a very nice person and also helped us get the feel for Icelandic culture in a very short time.
