After pickup from selected hotels in San Francisco, board a comfortable minibus for the drive to Yosemite National Park. En route, make a snack stop among the fruit and nut orchards of the San Joaquin Valley before continuing on to the Sierra Nevada foothills and California Gold Country.

Entering the national park via historical Groveland, stop for a guided hike among Yosemite’s giant sequoias—ancient redwood trees whose trunks span up to 40 feet (12 meters) in diameter. Your drive continues into the Yosemite Valley, stopping at Tunnel View for the quintessential photo op of that includes Bridalveil Fall, El Capitan, and Half Dome.

After a close-up look at the falls, head to El Capitan, the world’s largest exposed granite monolith. Search for rock climbers ascending its sheer face, which rises thousands of feet above the valley floor. Then it’s on to see Half Dome and Yosemite Falls, whose lower and upper cascades form North America’s tallest waterfall.

During free time to explore on your own and purchase lunch (own expense), you can hike among numerous paths, snap more photos at the base of Yosemite Falls or visit Yosemite Village. Then meet back up with your guide for the return drive to San Francisco, with another quick stop for food in the Central Valley before your full-day tour ends with hotel drop-off.

Incredible tour! They are really organized and give everyone in the group the best experience!

We spent 1 week in San Francisco and booked 7 Viator tours. BY FAR, this was the absolute BEST TOUR OF ALL. Phil Siegel of Best Bay Area Tours really thought of everything to make the experience enjoyable for all ages in the small group tour. Playlists to go along with themes along the trip to entertaining stories. My teenage son was dreading the 4 hr trip to Yosemite but it was organized so well with a few stops along the way that we didn't notice the long distance. It was his favorite tour if all. Luxury passenger van, we got lucky with the best group of folks..and Phil even shared a link of photos that he helped us take along the way!! He told us where to go , what to do to get the best, most memorable photos!! Can't say enough amazing things about the Best Bay area tour company. Thank you for a once in a lifetime experience Phil!!

The Magic of Yosemite and gigant sequoias.

Every stop in the way was memorable. From the first glimpse of the Half Dome to the different sights of El Capitan or Bridalveil Waterfalls, the experience was breathtaking. No to mention how accessible and kind Phil was. From the pick-up at the hotel door to the exchange of info about San Francisco and the Parks. And the plus of setting his telescopes for us to enjoy the El Capitan climbers...It was a great day!!
Excellent Tour

Amazing amazing day! Phil was a wonderful guide and fun and informative. Made some extra stops not on the regular tour to point out some “WOW” views and allow us to take pictures. A million thanks for the most memorable part of our trip!
