This tour was well planned out! I’m so glad I went with them. Frankie, our tour guide through El Yunque, was so passionate about his island and making sure that we all had a great time. Can’t wait to come back again and tour with bespoke again. Some tips, bring a change of dry clothes, you will really want to change after el Yunque. Also, bring some dry shoes! Very important. Come with an open mind and trust your tour guide. Also, make sure to get the appropriate attire for the hike so many people in sandals falling all over the place.

Amazing excursion!

We LOVED the rainforest excursion! Our guides Felix and Juan Carlos were amazing and so personable and helpful. Everything from the modern bus to the well thought out route and helpful instructions were amazing. Would recommend water shoes or sneakers you don’t mind getting soaked and quick dry clothing. We did a couple of rock slides, cliff jumps, and a rope swing. They were very accommodating for people who weren’t strong swimmers. Be prepared for some strenuous hiking at parts. Our guides were so knowledgeable and pointed out cool animals and plants in the rainforest. We had some relaxing beach time during our lunch break and started kayaking at sunset. Only downside was it took some work to get our pickup destination details and the mosquitoes on the bay.

Rushed experience not good wouldn't go back

I felt very rushed the whole time on both tours. Jonathan the guide on the El Yunque was a nice guy but that's about it. The park was literred with trash. No social distancing. We never even got a chance to relax in the water and got one chance per activity. We got dropped off literally on the side of the road and rushed out the van. On the bio bay we literally stayed in the bay for maybe 10 minutes just after sunset donut wasnt even properly dark before being ushered back to the start and rushed once again. There was no order in how it was done and everyone was everywhere.the guides kept telling us to go faster. The other groups remained in the bay after we left and we went in after they had. Also due to Covid everything closes at 8:00pm and out tour finished way afterwards. Never did anyone warn us about this so no-one had dinner. On a tour of this price they should at least include a snack. I've been touring alone for sometimes and this was my most disappointing experience.

I have mixed feeling about the tour. Partly the tour itself, my personal tastes and just some bad luck. Being an avid hiker I was looking for a more serious hike and hopefully some education on the area, flora fauna.....I researched a lot of trips and thought this was a good option. While the hike had some fun parts it was more like boot camp running to the water area. It was very crowded and not really off the beaten path. When we did get to the water area it was again packed and maybe I'm just getting old but being subjected to half naked women twerking on the rocks is not my idea of fun. The slides and jumps were a lot of fun. Then we raced back to the bus stopped at a nice little bar for a while which I enjoyed. Back in the bus and literally kicked out of the bus on the side of the road to this very crowded beach. Packed tourist style restaurants and an OK beach. We spent 2 hours there. Then we went to the kayak area. It was a much nicer area and I wish we would have went there for lunch. Since I was solo I got partnered with a stranger. She was a mom, now separated from the rest of her family. OMG, what a nightmare. She talked to her family the whole time. There were many kayaks and mangroves and it was very dark so we needed to pay attention. She kept turning her head to talk to her kids and hitting me in the head with the paddle or steering us into the mangroves or other kayaks because I wasn't strong enough to maneuver on my own (she was a heavier lady). When we finally arrived at the area she talked the whole time to her family and I missed the whole lecture. The bioluminescence was very cool (there was something positive!). The way back was just as disastrous. This was not the tours fault just bad luck on my part as the spot was beautiful. I was so exhausted I couldn't move my arms! Then a very long ride back to my hotel.

Very fun!! Expect to get muddy. Not just a hike but a strenuous set of rocks to climb. We loved it. Our guide Jonathan was very good. Highly recommend.
