Great Experience! Here’s a few tips/suggestions
Kruti_P
, Jul 2022
The guides were really clear in rules and guidance. They answered all of our questions and helped calm our nerves if we got nervous about the trek or kayak experience. My one suggestion to other tourists is to make sure to have enough cash for tips after the experience and for the tour guides to accept tips via Venmo or cash app. I wanted ton tip more, but only had a little cash on me. You’ll stop for a full lunch- but I would bring snacks for after the hike and kayaking. They have water for you. And do a great job of bringing the group together. Felt safe and in the care of the whole time! Do it- you’ll do big things and enjoy them.

The trip for rainforest was excellent and had lots of fun. Francesca was a very good tour guide, and the other tour guide helpers were very nice and helpful. However, right before 2 day of the trip, tour operator called me and said my biobay trip was canceled because there is no biobay trip on Tuesday. That was very disappointed and messed up our trip plan. Base on this, I would give them two stars.
Great service

This trip was awesome. It was an easy pickup and drop off process to get to the rainforest and bio bay. Felix, Elias and Mitchell were our guides for the rainforest and were so nice and made sure to make it a great day. It was a short hike to the water and we began with hiking to the natural waterslide, moved to a cliff jump and then rope swing. Very rocky and difficult at times but guides assisted in the tougher spots. We had lunch afterwards which was very good and then went to the bio bay. This portion was great, but coming back (against the current) was very difficult. You are in complete darkness and we had kayaks bumping into ours often. The guide got out into the water in the channel to help us through which was really nice. Definitely bring bug spray, also. Overall was a great day and would definitely recommend.
Absolutely not worth time and money. Avoid it.

First only 2 good thing was bus ride and bespoke’s management before the ride. Our driver Ricardo was good. We couldn’t do the hike and the company accomodated our request and called us to manage only bio bay pickup.
It all went downhill once we boarded kayaks. The guides did not give proper instructions in how to kayak in narrow channels with current. Everyone was bumping into each other and trees and few kayaks toppled over including ours. Biobay was just an open bay, no bioluminescence whatsoever. They pulled tarps over us and all I could see were few sparkles here and there. Kayak back was tougher with against the current and in total dark. We were so glad to be back on land. Would not recommend it to anyone. They should stop doing it on days with any moon and stop wasting people’s time and money, coz it was not cheap. 105$ per person for this- please spare yourself

Great experience hiking through the rainforest, sliding down the waterfall, jumping from the rocks, and swinging from the rope swing. Great for kids with a sense of adventure (limited fear) - I have 10 and 12 year old girls. We loved the meal and the tour guides
The bioluminescent bay tour is not raided as high. The guides were not great, and the bathrooms near the bay were gross. However - still cool to see how the algae lights up in the dark through motion. I give this 3 stars for the adventure.

We had the greatest tour guides on the hike - shout out to Felix, Bula, Mitchell - and we even met Tarzan :) It ended up being a 13 hour day because we were one of the first pick up locations and one of the last drop offs. We got picked up at 9:20am and then shuttled around to pick up other guests until we had a full bus (a short bus with A/C). We headed to the hike but made a short pit stop for a bathroom break and smoothies (the best smoothies!!). The hike was relatively short but somewhat strenuous. When you get off the bus, make sure you're ready to wear whatever you plan to wear hiking/walking through rivers. You need to have your hands free and ready to climb - it was really muddy and pretty tough in some areas but doable. Our tour guide, Felix, was really knowledgeable and shared a lot of tips and info about the forest. When we made it to the river with the rope swing, there's an opportunity to stay back while the rest of the group climbs for the rock slide (for those of you afraid of heights) - it looks more intimidating than it is but it's a lot of fun. Two rock slides and then the opportunity to jump off a cliff into the waters (various heights depending on comfort level - 20 ft to 1 ft drops) and a rope swing. We stayed there for a while before heading back to the bus. We then made a stop at a restaurant for lunch and beverages - great fish tacos and mofongo! After hanging out there for a bit, we headed to the bay. We had time for another bathroom break before adventuring out - if you're a beginner it might be more challenging in a two person kayak. You make your way through a lagoon to the bay and wait for the sun to go down. We required the use of a tarp to see the plankton but it was still pretty cool. On our way back to the bay, the lagoon was pitch black and tough to navigate with another boat company trying to go thru at the same time. Our guides were great though. They were knowledgable and patient - Glassbottom Kayak company is the best! It took us almost twice as long to get back because we were paddling against the current. When we made it back they gave us chips and water. We were dropped off at our hotel at 10:30pm - just in time to get ice cream :)

Amazing experience!!

It was an amazing experience. The forest is magical and breathtaking with it's beautiful wildlife and sounds. The muddy and rocky trails was quite an experience for a first timer.
Jason & George were amazing!! They are outgoing, friendly and so chill. My daughter & I were picked up on timely manner. Instructions and expectations of the tour were thorough.
The crew at the Bio Bay were hysterical!! OMG!! They made us laugh so much!!! I had an amazing time!!
100% worth it!

, May 2022
Really enjoyed this trip! All of our tour guides were incredibly friendly. Great mix of activities. Hike is short and sweet with rock scrambles during the water activities.
We enjoyed the kayaking as well even though the bioluminescence is minimal. You’ll need to be able to paddle and kayak in the dark, so be prepared.
It’s a lot to do both activities in one day, so you’ll be very tired afterwards.
Great way to see Puerto Rico!

, May 2022
The sights on this trip were amazing and our tour guides, Jason, George, and Mitchell were incredible! I would HIGHLY recommend this 2 in 1 tour. Just be prepared that there seems to be a lot of waiting around during the day. The bus picked us up about 20 minutes past our designated time, then we waited about 30 minutes for the bus to pick us up after lunch, and then we waited about 25 minutes at the kayak rental. The waiting is fine, as long as it’s communicated what we’re waiting on. Other than that, everyone in my group of 8 had a blast and were so glad we chose this tour!
Save the time reading this review and just book it!
Nicholas_G

We loved this. The rock water slide was everything you want it to be. The journey isn’t to intense the guides made sure everyone made it without a struggle! Words really don’t describe how amazing the rainforest is!! The 2nd part of the trip Bio Bay was fun. The kayak trip was so entertaining considering I’ve never done it. The water did not light up how I wanted it to but regardless we did see it happen! I would recommend this tour 10 times over. You really do get your moneys worth and after the rainforest everything else is just a bonus!
We perform checks on reviews
You can only submit a review or rating of an experience to Viator if you were the person who made the booking through Viator. Before publication, each review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information for each of the following criteria: who, what, how, and when.
