Return Details

Returns to original departure point
Make your way to the expedition center in Horseshoe Bay, where you board the boat for your adventure on the water. Set off to the North, traveling to Howe Sound's Pam Rocks, home to the resident seal colony.

Snap photos of the harbor seals sunning themselves on the rocks and moving effortlessly through the water. Harbor seals can grow up to six feet (1.8 meters) in length and are known to be docile and curious.

Don a provided wet suit and snorkel gear, then slip into the water and watch the seals from a respectful distance under the supervision of your snorkel guide. Chances are, the seals may want to check out their visitors; you and your group follow their lead and your guide ensures your safety. Kayakers climb into their boats and float nearby; the seals may bob along the surface next to the kayaks or swim playfully underneath. Switch between kayaking and snorkeling, or simply stay on the boat and watch the show. No snorkeling or kayaking experience is necessary.

This excursion includes snacks, hot soup, and cold drinks, all of which can be enjoyed while cruising back to Horseshoe Bay, admiring ocean and mountain scenery of Howe Sound.

Your tour ends up back at your departure point in Horseshoe Bay.

Absolutely Amazing first time experience!

Absolutely breathtaking experience being submerged into the salt water reminded me of how exhiliaserene nature can be! From the start of the tour to the end of the tour absolutely incredible! I actually got to be up close and personal with a sea lion! What are the odds? The captain David and his guide Mathias made my first experience memorable with their knowledge, open mindedness and passion for their trade contributed to an experience that l will talk about forever! What fun it was to interact with the seals. Unbelievable! How curious they are!

The highlight of my trip to vancouver. Thought it was going to be canceled due to weather conditions so i messaged the booking peeps and the response was: rain or shine we are out today. That message got me pumped. The ambiance was nice on the boat & in the water. Everyone needs to experience it once. Love Van City. Thanks guys

Local adventure fun for all from far and near

Incredible adventure but the most amazing part of my trip was watching a seal sneak up and took a playful tug at one of the flippers of one of my coadventurists and saw me and came up to check me out. Loads of beautiful starfish and schools of fish were incredible! I thought you needed to scuba dive in order to see such beauty but the staff gave us the adventure of our lives, while respecting the wildlife. I'm a local girl and would highly recommend doing this jewel of a tour.

This was a fabulous trip. We explored the shorelines on kayaks and paddle boards. Snorkeling with the seals was so special. The crew was excellent. The hot soup after the snorkel really hit the spot. A wonderful trip.

Last minute cancellation and waiting for full refunds

I booked this tour and organized trip to Vancouver for this event. Due to Covid, even whole family received full vaccination. We all did necessary Covid testing prior to visiting Vancouver. And we were random pick for Covid testing so, another Covid testing was done at Vancouver. Less than a two days before, receive a phone call from Sea Dragon that their boat can’t do the job due to receiving a wrong part(s). I am currently, waiting for full refund from Viator. Our family really look forward to this event and due to cancellation and not receiving a refund makes me upset and disappointing about booking through Viator. When can I receive my full refund??
